Sour Water Stripper

Sour waters produced by FCCU's, cokers, hydrotreaters and other units are fed to a sour water stripper (SWS). The SWS removes H₂S and ammonia to make the water fit for reuse in the refinery. SWS tower fouling and corrosion are common operational problems that compromise asset integrity.
